During the time of relocating my father I have learned this can be one of the most difficult tasks a person could be responsible for. Particularly if this circumstance is new or happens suddenly. When the needs of an elderly person exceed the love, attention, and care you are capable of providing, you, the caregiver is faced with having to make decisions with little time to relax . Most often, the responsible person has no experience in selecting the long term care needed when life has laid this task in their hands. The staff at Magnolia Healthcare took the time and understanding to make the transition for my father as smoothly as possible. The many questions I had were answered and explained so that I could understand what was happening. While my father will probably always struggle to understand such a sudden change to a life that has been so solid, routine, and predictable for over 80 years; the caring staff of Magnolia Healthcare has shown me that they are sensitive to this and work to create comfort and attention.
I have found the Magnolia Healthcare facility to be very clean and well equipped, and the staff to be friendly and welcoming. The administrative support given me during this turbulent time has reassured me that I have selected an excellent facility, and the best for my father. Magnolia Healthcare’s location is easy for me and all members of my family to travel and visit with my father. Both myself and the members of my family have found the area of Columbia Tennessee allows us to travel to and from my father’s visits reflecting calmly on each visit without the stress of metropolitan traffic or chaos.
I am glad I chose Magnolia Heathcare as they truly have helped me by taking away the stress and the worry of finding a long term nursing care facility, allowing me to think and concentrate on my father’s future needs during these final years. This is truly one less major thing for me to worry about as a caregiver at this time.
